The Colin Cooper Foundation was established following the death of iconic long term president and lifetime member of Old Canberrans Hockey Club, Colin Cooper.
Colin was a passionate supporter of hockey and worked hard over many years to build the club’s women’s and junior teams. The club is one of the largest and most successful in Canberra.
To continue the work that Colin started, the aim of the foundation is to promote participation and excellence. It is a challenge across all sports to encourage membership and promote healthy and active children and it is hoped that the foundation will allow OCHC to continue to be a leader in this regard.
The foundation will support our Hook In2 Hockey and junior programs, including the Checks Academy, and will also provide individual scholarships to talented and enthusiastic players and officials.
